I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couples, group, and family therapy. After a 20 year career in the U.S. Air Force I retired in Columbia, South Carolina were I completed graduate school at the University of South Carolina. I earned my Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) Degree in Counselor Education with a cognate in Marriage and Family Therapy. In 2003 I went into private practice using 'Brief Solution-Focused Therapy' working from the strengths of each client. It seems that by working with a strength based orientation change occurs quicker and is longer lasting. The focus of all therapy is to respect and meet the needs of each client. This makes each therapy session a unique experience.

With over seven years experience as a clinician, I currently serve as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are adolescents behavioral issues of all kinds. Treatment with relationships, behavioral issues, domestic violence, alcohol, drug and sexual addictions. Providing education on anger management, communication and relationship building skills and methods. I also provide a premium service to counsel with alcohol and drug addictions and other abuse issues. Services for men with on-line pornography addictions are available as well.

I am a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist. The treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. I incorporate a blend of conventional and alternative approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, I work with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.
